Hair regrowth products are easy to find as there are hundreds of them but the question you need to ask yourself is which of them are actually any good? In this article, I'll show you how to avoid the pitfalls and get the sure fire winners.

The Basis Of All Products

Any product worth its salt should work by trying to get more nutrition to the hair follicle. The whole reason why your follicles produce thinner hairs as you age and then eventually stop producing hair altogether is because they receive less and less nutrition thanks to DHT, a testosterone by-product.

The Ugly

The absolute worst "cures" are a subset of herbal hair tonics and pills that do nothing for you - they won't stop your hair falling out and they won't let it regrow. Very importantly, not all herbal cures are like this, just some. So how do you spot the winners from the losers?

Firstly, herbal pills alone will not regrow your hair. Secondly, look at the ingredients carefully. If there is no capsicum then avoid it. Capsicum is the most important herbal ingredient that you need to regrow the hair.

The Bad

There are two drugs available for regrowing the hair, minoxidil and finasteride. They both work very well to stop hair loss and even regrow new hair and the vast majority of men will experience this. So why are they "bad"?

I call them bad because they were not invented to stop hair loss. They were invented for treatment of prostate cancer and high blood pressure. If you take them then you run the risk of some serious side effects including erectile dysfunction. Do you really want to risk that when there are better alternatives?

The Good

The best regrowth products are natural remedies. These contain natural chemicals that stimulate the scalp in order for the hair follicles to better nutrify themselves. The best contain a number of herbs and vitamins but they all include capsicum a.k.a. cayenne pepper. When applied to the scalp (usually in an oil) you will feel a minor slight burning sensation. This is nothing to worry about and means that it is doing its job.

Simple apply once a day and you can experience regrowth at the same rate as you would with drugs but without the side effects.
